Okay. This is not an exercise to inflate my ego, but rather a real call for advice. I have decided to run for an elected office in my little hometown. Last night I was discussing this with my future current campaign manager and the topic of the blog came up. We both agreed I should take it down for a while. With some thought I am not sure that is necessary. I think I am going keep it with some minor changes.
I have removed recent pictures of myself and am considering moving my Cuba stuff to a new blog and removing that content from OG all together.
Then starting a new website/blog for the campaign.
Any thoughts.
Jennifer..you live in this town..you wanna vote for me for city council knowing I have this little blog?

My 2 cents…take it down. Your opponets and especially the media will try and find out anything negative they can. Not that there is anything negative to find, but give them one little spark and they will turn it into a towering inferno. Good luck!

I think that is awesome! I was a little worried with your post about the takings case that maybe you believed that the Supremes determine the fate of this Country. But they have left it in the hands of the local yokels, so it is better to join them (that is where the power is, really)! Where can we make a contribution to the campaign. We have some terrific artists at our house who can make posters!

Let me know if you need any help on your environmental platform (especially being a conservative). My guess is that will be low on the priorities list for your constituents.

I’m psyched that you’re going to run for office! You haven’t posted anything here that reflects badly on you, but if you’re elected I think I would start a different, anonymous blog if I were you. Just let all your faithful readers know where to find you.

Well first of all what would I do during my lunch break?
Personally I think that you should probably take it down.
But it also depends on whether you truly stand up for the things you have written. If you aren’t worried about the topics discussed then great. If you are worried about the bad press then take it down. But don’t they say bad press is better than no press?
