I woke up today with a dark realization that my legs may not appreciate my accelerated training schedule. Some muscle that Melissa called a “quad” burns like fire. Both of them.

Yesterday I repeated day one. Walk 1/4, Jog 1/4 etc. But my treadmill was malfunctioning. Due to the mechanical problems, I had to ratchet up the speed a bit. A mixed blessing, I took one whole minute off my two mile time, but I have really upset the muscle group between my hips and knees.

Today is an off day and all resumes tomorrow.

    Stretch…stretch and stretch again. (This is a do as I say and not as I do kinda thing. Personally, I hate stretching..right up there with flossing my teeth.) Stretches can make all the difference in stiffness and soreness following a bit of overworking of the muscles. Keep ‘em warm though, never stretch a cold muscle.
