So. I haven’t posted in a while. Not witness relocation, just the perfect storm against blogging. In short, I started a new job this month, lost power for 6 days, bought new running shoes and took about a week off of running.
But..here is the update..I missed only one long run. It was supposed to be an 8 miler and I did a bit over three. I wasn’t feeling it.
Last night I put the new shoes back on, used some vaseline in the sensitive areas of my feet and set off for a 9 miler. 9.12 to be exact. My goal was 12 minute miles and I completed it with three new blisters, two of which were on top of two old ones. I also did the run at an 11:38 pace. Very happy with the result. Today I am going to see the running shoe expert at Endurance Sports in Sugarcreek Township. I am taking my new shoes and old shoes and some cash. I hopefully will come out with some idea of what is going on.
This weeks running schedule, 2, 7, 2 and 9 again.
Next week is 3,8,3 and 10.
The 10 will be Sunday the 12th. My long runs are on Sunday evenings. The 19th is the half marathon.
I celebrated last nights run with some sweet tea mixed with a sugar free lemonade. Was very good. My feet are kiling me and I stayed up too late watching my two favorite t.v. shows. The Unit’s season premier was on at 10:00 then I stayed up for another show at 11:00. Big mistake. My feet hurt, but the run was fun last night. I am looking forward to these next long runs.
.88 you ask. That is the distance between my longest run and the goal of 10 miles. .88 miles = 4646.4 feet. That is 1416.2 meters. Or 3097.6 cubits for the biblical unit of distance measurement. I am close for sure. Now to find that gently used, low mileage, lost in a garage and eager to sell below market value late model Jeep Wrangler.

One word for you: bodyglide (ask endurance sports guy if you don’t know what I am talking about)
RE: Wrangler: Are you sure you don’t want to treat yourself to a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager Minivan with 181,000 miles on it?
“Ed note: One minivan is more than any one man needs. I pass on the experienced Grand Voyager. I was with the Endurance guy today. New shoes. Went to the expert after buying some really bad shoes two weeks ago. Body Glide. I know it well.”

What happened to the other car selection? Did you have to go back to your first choice. You know it has been a life long dream. Will you charge for rides? I say 2 dollars a ride, with top down I might add. Maybe I can be your marketing director. Great job!!!
