Cuba
Dear Friends:
Thanks for stopping by my web-page to learn more about my trip to Cuba scheduled for February 2010.
In 1999 I participated in my first mission trip. That trip took me to Little Havana, Miami Florida, we worked in a city park sharing the gospel with children with a makeshift VBS program. I fell in love with the Cuban people, their culture and sharing Christ’s love with children via games, magic and stories. It was never imagined that years later I would travel to Cuba and work with children there and more importantly I would work alongside youth workers sharing tips and tricks to reach children.
In 2004, 2005, and 2007 I have travelled to Cuba with Far Hills church. Construction, fellowship, evangelism, magic shows and teaching have all occurred. Each time I travel to that mysterious island I learn a bit more about me, grow a little closer to our Christ and appreciate more the freedoms and luxuries we enjoy here in America.
Roger Dale McCloud invited me to join him in Cuba again in February of 2010. Please join me on this mission. Can I count on you to partner with me in prayer? Would you consider supporting me financially? This trip we will be doing some construction on a new church and we will be working with children, evangelizing as much as we can in each town. Using magic and games I plan to share the story of our Savior with the children I encounter. I hope to share some of my magic with youth leaders in the churches as well.
We are traveling with Urbancrest Baptist Church in Lebanon and the cost of the trip is $1700.00. I trust our generous and gracious God to provide those funds and secure our protection while traveling. These are tumultuous times in Cuba. This week there have been protest, an arrest of an American and our friends at Patterson Park have been denied visas to travel to Cuba to do work similar to ours.
